Acquire a piece of the Old Pier

This will be your only chance to obtain a piece of history from the Old Pier. They are supplied with a brass plaque (100mm x 30mm) including an engraving of your choice of up to 10 words.

We currently have a limited stock of these items. As Birnbeck Pier is stripped & restored more wooden blocks & roof slates will become available as memorabilia items.

Join the Friends of the Old Pier Society

The Birnbeck Regeneration Trust works in partnership with the Friends of the Old Pier Society, its sister organisation, to raise funds for the main aim of regenerating Birnbeck Pier. The Friends of the Old Pier Society is a not-for-profit organization, formed in 1996. The Friends' objective is now to be able to help take the pier into 'Trust' status in the fairly near future; and then to see it restored to its former glory. Its shared main base of operations is also Pier View.

All members receive a regular regular newsletter, as well as gaining the opportunity to get more involved in the campaign if they wish to do so. In particular, volunteers who are willing to help run Pier View and assist with external fundraising activities are especially welcomed!

The Friends of the Old Pier Society has its own dedicated website. You can join the Society there - they have an online registration and payment system (via Paypal) on their Contact Page. Membership forms are also available at Pier View. Membership rates are as follows:

Adult: £10.00; Family: £15.00; Senior Citizen: £7.50; Student: £5.00; Business: £25.00; Corporate Association: £100.00

Additional donations are always gratefully received - these form an important part of the overall fundraising contributions.

Leaving a Legacy

Leaving a legacy to Birnbeck Pier can be looked at as a donation to the future of your children & their children as well. The pier will be a long standing memorial for those to visit and remember you and see how you have supported sustaining history.
