PLEASE NOTE: These images show just what dangerous places Birnbeck Pier and Island are. Holes in the planking, loose slates that even pigeons can dislodge (not to mention the seagulls!), precarious walls and a totally no-go pier. The message is simple, the place to have a closer look is here on this BRT page, to go onto the island is trespassing & in doing so you put your own safety and the safety of others at risk.
